Costume Contest Draft Rules
Eligibility:
- Open to all ages!
- No pre-registration is required, but participants are encouraged to sign up early for special incentives like fast-track entry and exclusive goodie bags.
Categories:
- Scariest Costume
- Most Creative Costume (innovative execution and craftsmanship)
- Best Group Costume (3 or more)
- Best Character Costume
- Most Unique Costume (the costume’s originality and distinctiveness)
- Best Young Contestant (12 and under)
- Fan Favorite
Judging Criteria (out of 5):
- Creativity: 1-5 points
- Scariness: 1-5 points
- Uniqueness: 1-5 points
- Craftsmanship: 1-5 points
Parade Style:
- Participants will walk the parade route, giving judges a chance to observe. Each contestant/group will be allowed no more than 30 seconds on the main stage.
- After the parade, judges will deliberate and announce winners for each category.
Prizes:
- Each category will have one winner who will be invited to showcase their costume on stage after prizes are awarded.

Rules:
- NO real weapons allowed.
- Costumes must be appropriate for all audiences; no nudity, offensive imagery, or excessive gore.
- Costumes must be safe and allow for easy mobility.
- Participants must respect other contestants and the audience at all times or they will be immediately disqualified from the contest.
Registration:
- Sign-up at the event before it starts.
- Pre-registration could be made available online for exclusive incentives (goodie bag, fast-track entry, social media shout-out).

- Early Bird Access: Give pre-registered participants early access to the event or a dedicated fast-track lane for the contest.
- Exclusive Goodie Bag: Offer a small goodie bag or a Halloween-themed item (like a mini pumpkin, candy, a pin, etc) to those who pre-register.
